Wharton interview (and LBS update)
Just my luck: the day before I'm due to fly out to do my hub-interview with Wharton, the worst snowfall since 20 years hits the country. Needless to say, the airport was in a severe state of disarray and my outbound flight left with an hour and a half delay (fortunately I had booked my flights with enough time to spare for this type of delay).
The interview itself went alright I think, it was nice meeting Alex of amongst others S2S fame. The 30 minutes flew by, and I just hope that it was enough time to convey what I'm about and why I'm so passionate about Wharton. One of the many things that I'm particularly struck by (in a positive sense) are the Wharton Student Diaries and I told Alex so. Wharton's own cross of a soap and The Real World gives a good insight in what it's really like being a student at Wharton.
The questions were those that have been mentioned by others on the S2S boards (Why did I choose my degrees, why MBA, why Wharton, what do I like to do in my spare time), and there was some room for me to ask some questions. I prepared by going through the S2S boards and reading other people's blogs (see to the right). Now the wait continues.
After the interview, I had a fabulous lunch with a friend of mine, did some shopping, and then headed back to the airport, only to find out that my flight was canceled due to the bad weather on the other side, and the airline wasn't sure if the next, and last, flight would go.... I was put on standby, and luckily was able to fly home two and a half hours later. All in all a pretty eventful day!
On a different note: I've received details about my LBS interview, which is likely to be held this week.

The blog post is basically a personal reflection on MBA admissions and career paths, discussing Wharton interviews and updates alongside London Business School progress, highlighting how competitive top business school entry is and how applicants position themselves through experience and storytelling. It’s similar in the professional world too, where presenting your experience clearly can really shape opportunities, which is why people sometimes look for resume writing service in cambridge when they want to structure their career background in a more polished and targeted way.
